Welcome to Travelling History! My name is Kelly and I’m a Canadian travel writer and content creator based between Canada and the United Kingdom. I cover the best of historical destinations from around the world, which includes attractions, museums, tours, hotels, restaurants, pubs and more! With a growing social media network of 30,000+ my passion is inspiring travellers with the stories that make up our world.
A bit about me...
I grew up in Toronto, Canada and, whether it was mummifying my dolls or building cardboard castles, I always had a passion for history. I moved to Scotland in 2013 to complete my master’s degree in Scottish history and spent the next seven years living in both Glasgow in London. Here, I was fortunate to work in heritage and marketing roles for some of the world’s most historic Scotch whisky and gin brands. It was also while living in Scotland in 2014 that I started Travelling History.
I returned to Canada in 2020 and gain further marketing experience by working for well-known travel and history television networks. I decided to relaunch Travelling History in 2022 and continue to explore sites in North America, the United Kingdom and beyond.
